March 2016 Minutes of the Heart River Home Brewers

Present: Greg Walters, Jerry Ford, Ryan Jilek, Steve Klicker, Casey Ritz, Joel Emter, Alan Church, Rocky Stoltz, Nate Shilman and Jon Stika. February 2016 Minutes of the Heart River Home Brewers

Present: Mike Walton, Jerry Ford, Joel Emter, Ryan Jilek, Ellery Dykeman, Greg Walters, Glen Bruhschwein and Jon Stika. Discussed upcoming brewing-related events.  The club has accepted the donation of some ND Genesis 2-row barley from Greg Kessel, a farmer near Belfield.  The club has malted some of the barley and brewed a beer hopped with hops donated from the Dickinson Research and Extension Center’s 2015 hops production. January 2016 Minutes of the Heart River Homebrewers

Present: Rocky Stoltz, Ryan Jilek, Casey Ritz, Derek Fox, Jerry Ford, Glen Bruhschwein, Ellery Dykeman, Greg Walters, Joel Emter, Shane Smith, Joe Natwick and Jon Stika. December 2015 Minutes of the Heart River Homebrewers

Present: Steve Klicker, Casey Ritz, Glen Bruhschwein, Ryan Jilek, Derrick Fox, Joel Emter, Joe Natwick and Jon Stika. Barrel Beer

Rocky Stoltz in Jon Stika’s (not pictured) workshop pumping beer out of the club barrel into members buckets, carboys and kegs.  Over 60 gallons of member-contributed Imperial Stout was aged in the used wine barrel from August 5th, 2015 to November 28th, 2015.

November 2015 Minutes of the Heart River Home Brewers

October 2015 Minutes of the Heart River Homebrewers

Present: Rocky Stoltz, Jerry Ford, Derrick Fox, Ellery Dykema, Glen Bruhschwein and Jon Stika. September 2015 Minutes of the Heart River Home Brewers

Sampled barrel beer and found it satisfactory and agreed it should remain in the barrel for another month.  Jon brought the club share of the Petite Saison kit.
