Present: Jeremiah Thorpe, Jerry Ford, Rocky Stoltz, Ryan Jilek, Dale Sattler, Paul Ellerkamp, Jon Stika and guest Marc Versen, Director of Alumni and Donor Relations of the Dickinson State University Foundation.
Beer of the Month from Town & Country was Sand Creek Brewing Co. Lil ja’s Sasquatch Stout. This beer was a very dark brown, dry, hoppy beer with assertive roastiness and a subdued malt finish.
Discussed the Brews & Blues event scheduled for May 21st at Hawk’s Point. Some members brought several varieties of hop rhizomes to exchange with others. Discussed an additional meeting in May, but no decision was made as to where and when it might be.
Ryan brought a German Pils. Jerry brought a 7% Belgian Wit. Jeremiah brought a Cream Ale. Rocky brought a bottle of Saison DuPont which was highly carbonated and after the cork was popped, some of the beer sprayed on the wall. Dale brought plum wine made from plums harvested from Ryan’s plum tree.
