Conducted an election of officers. Jon nominated Rocky to continue as treasurer, seconded by Craig, unanimous vote for Rocky. Jerry nominated Greg for vice president, seconded by Rocky, unanimous vote for Greg. Jerry nominated Katsu for member at large, seconded by Craig, unanimous vote for Katsu. Jon nominated Derek Fox to continue as member at large, seconded by Jerry, unanimous vote for Derek.
Rocky collected dues and Brew Your Own subscription fees from some members.
Jon reported that the “A Chocolate Affair Plus” fund-raising event for Best Friends Mentoring Program will be in late April. Jon has brewed an oatmeal stout and has an IPA all-grain kit purchased by the club that he will brew for the event. Other members were encouraged to brew for the event so there would be three beers to serve.
Heath Braun introduced himself as the head brewer for Phat Fish Brewing LLC that plans to open in 2019. Heath mentioned the limited opportunity for individuals to join the Phat Fish mug club.
Greg delivered malt to those members that ordered some as a group from Two-Track Malting in Bismarck.
